Transfer of responsibility for sexual offences forensics from the police to the NHS
This publication supports an impact assessment that emerged from the feasibility study carried out by Health Services Management Centre between September 2010 and February 2011.
The impact assessment proposes that funding and commissioning responsibility for forensic examinations for sexual offences work should transfer from the police to the NHS, and that standards should be raised.
