Health visitor return to practice framework
In February 2011, the government made a firm commitment to increase the health visitor workforce by 4,200 by 2015.
This will be implemented through the health visiting implementation programme, which aims to deliver a new service vision for improving the health and well-being of children, families and communities.
The focus of this framework is on those considering a return to the health visitor service, and for higher education institutions delivering return to practice programmes.
