Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cardiac Network and Greater Manchester Stroke Network
The Network was established in 2002 to ensure the delivery of the Cardiac National Service Framework. The Network is chaired by Richard Popplewell (Chief Executive for Stockport PCT) and is led by Janet Ratcliffe as Network Director working with clinicians, managers, commissioners and patients across all Health Care Organisations to ensure a co-ordinated approach to cardiac services throughout the Network.
The aims of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cardiac Network are to:

Facilitate delivery of more integrated cardiac care across the Network area.
-
Bring together clinical, managerial and patient representatives to ensure delivery of patient-centred care.
-
Create an environment within which there are improved clinical outcomes, resulting in both cost-effective care and improved patient experience.
-
Provide equity of access to cardiac services for all patients suffering from CHD across Primary, Secondary and Tertiary care.
-
