North West London Respiratory Network
A Respiratory Network for NW London
The aim of the network is to develop a coherent, comprehensive and rational approach to providing, planning and commissioning chronic and acute respiratory care in NW London, with a particular emphasis on linking specialist, secondary, and primary/community services and the voluntary sector.
Obvious starting points are long term oxygen therapy, COPD, asthma pulmonary rehabilitation, and palliative care for end stage lung disease but the network will embrace all relevant aspects of acute and chronic respiratory care to ensure that national guidelines are met, links with other networks facilitated, and best practice at community, primary and secondary level disseminated as widely and equitably as possible.
