Information A network for PCT Clinicians & Managers engaged in commissioning. The Modernisation & Commissioning Leads Network is a group of PCT Clinicians & Managers engaged in commissioning. Our ethos confirms that clinicians and managers, working in partnership, make better decisions together.Managers & Clinicians join the network as a team. The clinician may be a GP, a lead Allied Health Professional or a lead Nurse for example. The manager may be lead for Commissioning/Modernisation/Service Improvement. The network serves to: i) share good practice & provide support to one another ii) work directly with policy makers and to lobby & raise awareness of issues within the NHS iii) provide a voice, independent of professional organisations & enable a wide range of views to be expressed iv) represent a range of professionals by sharing our experience, and promote primary care Our aim is to enable clinicians and managers to raise awareness of issues from the front line and have a voice in effective policy development.
