Information The national discussion forum and community for UK Healthcare Professionals with an interest in acute, chronic, or palliative Pain Management Originally set up in 2003 as a simple e-mail list serving a handful of members in the Southwest, Pain-Talk has evolved into an active, viable, community attracting a wide range of users from across the UK (and beyond).Pain-Talk has encouraged and supported on-going communication between Pain Management specialists and other professionals with an interest in pain management, from across the UK (many of whom work in comparative isolation from others performing similar roles). The site has allowed the pooling and sharing of ideas, questions, and comments, as well as allowing the sharing of specialist articles, links, resources etc. The inclusion of a ‘what’s on?’ section allows users to publicise events, meetings, and conferences. Pain Talk’s strength is that it actively invites contributions from a wide range of professional groups, promoting multidisciplinary discussion and interaction. |
