Information Umbrella organisation for cardiac networks in England. Launched in April 2005, the NHS Heart Improvement Programme is a national approach to support the delivery of the National Service Framework (NSF) for Coronary Heart Disease, through the development of cardiac networks.Our role is to: - Support cardiac network development - Ensure spread of service improvement within cardiac networks - Facilitate the introduction of new service improvement tools and recognised clinical innovations. The programme builds on the successful work of its predecessor, the Coronary Heart Disease Collaborative, which was established to make improvements in the way CHD services are delivered to patients.
