Default Electric Pool Bikes

I am investigating the possibility of providing electric pool bikes for use by community staff for short journeys.

1) I wondered whether anyone had any information on such vehicles which they would be able to let me have or could suggest alternative sources of such information.

2) I also needs to devise a staff questionnaire to assess the likely take-up of these bikes. Does anyone have examples of such questionnaires that other organisations may have used?

3) Is anyone aware of any model schemes that have used such bikes that she could use as exemplars?

4) These vehicles are expensive and it will be difficult to meet the costs from Trust budgets alone and I wondered whether anyone was aware of any grants for such schemes?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi Grant

I have a questionnaire that we used a few years ago if you would like to see it, sent me ur email, it was based on a sustrans 1 I think.

You may have a few barriers put in you way to using electric bikes, people that like their cars will see them as 'dangerous.' People like myself that already cycle will not see the advantage, and I would even be a bit weary about using one for the first time. Then on a practical level keeping them charged, etc may be seen by some as a problem. As you have already mentioned cost is another factor, possibly they biggest barrier!

Regards

Richard
