Safety First in Mental Healthcare

Contrary to impressions created by inappropriate media reporting, most people with a mental disorder are not a danger to others. For the minority who are, it is important that the mental health services, the police, probation and the courts work together to ensure the safety of patients, their families, staff and the public. This event brings together experts and practitioners who will describe best practice to achieve this objective. The event will be of relevance to mental health professionals, including commissioners, consultant psychiatrists, probation officers, prison health care staff and police liaison officers.
