Masterclass: nurse led discharge

Discharge planning is at the core of indicators for successful Hospital.  This masterclass offers the opportunity to interact with a skilled facilitator to guide new and practical ways of approaching nurse led discharge and discharge planning issues.
 
The master class will begin with a core lecture on the 10 policy steps underpinning discharge planning at a national level. This is followed by an analysis of two core areas, namely: estimating dates for discharge and nurse led discharge will form the basis for case based discussions, analysis and practical advice.
 
The facilitator has 25 years of experience in the NHS and 10 years as a Senior Nurse within a large Foundation Trust. Outputs from her work include two discharge planning books and one Department of Health Publication, as well as 50 peer reviewed publications. She is currently a registered PhD student and works full time. She has a national reputation for her work and practical approach to the topic.
