Does anyone know the current situation? Does Lorenzo now offer a system which can support Mental Health and Community Services. If so, how can i get details??  Thanks

I don't think Lorenzo can integrate across information gateways, and therefore would not be a prime candidate for supporting community services. You would do better to look at some of the more sophisticated GP systems.

The GP SystmOne is being used by both already.

In Birmingham we use Lorenzo for community based CAMHS services; we are able to generate some useful data from this and also measure our responsiveness to patients in terms of waiting times, contacts, referrals caseloads, coding and outcoming but to mention a few tools

Advanced Health and Care has a comprehensive community solution with strong mobile data capability. See here: http://www.advancedcomputersoftware.com/ahc/news/medway-community-healthcare.php

Not sure if I've understood the question, but if you are looking for a system to provide mental health and community support  we can  recommend RiO- we have used the mental health component for several years, and are going to acquire the community version following our acquisition last year of the Somerset Community Heealth services.

It works as an EPR but also privides detailed performance information at all levels.

We don't use SystmOne but I was very impressed with the capability. The same goes for Vision 360, which also has the mobile capability mentioned by Anonymous.

I understand the InPS Vision offering is used throughout Wales, most of Scotland, and Hampshire/IOW. For extended primary care function you need a degree of role configurability, and structure.

Whatever you do, to achieve a degree of integration, look for systems that can be shared, or that at least talk to each other, and that can be accessed mobile, with a standard browser (like internet explorer)

I looked at this when I was on seondment unfortunately Lorenzo doesn't "talk" easliy to other systems without complex program links. It doesn't talk to social services systems readily which is where service users present.
