I have been asked to review our current orthotics pathways as currently we don't have direct access. the service is provided by our local DGH and we acknowledge that current pathways are not striaght forward or the best route for patients - there is likely to be a cost pressure on the PCT by changing the pathway as most is funded through either inpatient or out patient tariffs - has any one done any work on this and also has anyone gone out to procurement for the service.
