Nottingham City Primary Care Trust provides condoms and sexual health information to local barbers and hairdressers from the African and Caribbean communities in Nottingham.

They have received past funding from World AIDS Day and the Teenage Pregnancy Fund to purchase the condoms, and to produce calendars and mugs. Time is used for packing, delivering condoms and evaluating the project.

The Trust has made access to free condoms and information easier for members of the black community who may not have had access to these previously.

Taken from IDeA’s ‘Year of healthy communities’ calendar - a year's worth of practical inspiration on simple steps you can take to promote health across a wide range of services.
