Bolton PCT Service redesign

Bringing together consultant medical staff, podiatry, psychology, nursing and physiotherapy, Bolton PCT’s two tier musculoskeletal service provides speedy triage for people with conditions that have traditionally required referral for outpatient rheumatology or orthopaedic appointments. A large proportion are then treated by the multidisciplinary team without the need for hospital referral. The two tier service has significantly reduced waiting times.
