The Dagenham CMHT embarked into a new service to the Dagenham locality service users. We set up a Route 2 Wellbeing clinic with two full time dedicated band 6 Nurses for clients who attend the clinic to receive their depot therapy, have their blood analysed for clozaril & get full physical checks to ensure they do not have any physical health issues. The service users also benefit on the day from drop in session for benefit advice, anxiety care, healthy living lifestyle group and other employment opportunities advice offered by the Benefit Advisory Service and the Employment Vocational & Opportunity Worker from the Community Mental Health Team. The Clinic Nurses take up the role of care co-ordination for all the clinic clients and work with them closely to maintain them stable in the community.
