Dear social enterprise network member,

Health seems to be the hot topic for social enterprise at the moment, with a new £100m fund from the Department of Health, £220m to fund NHS innovation, the right to request and social enterprises increasingly taking on NHS contracts.

Social Enterprise magazine is dedicated to bringing you the latest news and information about social enterprise and the health sector. Therefore, we are offering you a special offer – three months subscription FREE.

To sign up for your free trial or to find out more, email katharina@societymedia.co.uk. Please remember to say you are a member of NHS Networks.
You can also keep up to date with our online news stories from http://www.socialenterprisemag.co.uk by signing up to our free LIVEWIRE weekly bulletin here http://www.socialenterpriseform.com/livewire/

But that’s not all. Social Enterprise magazine has also recently developed the first index for social enterprises, in collaboration with RBS. The RBS SE100 charts the growth of social enterprises and scores you on how you report your social impact.

Early next year, we will be giving away £50,000 of prizes to the top grower, social impact champion and best newcomer. You could win £10,000 in cash, a trip to the social enterprise World Forum in California and some top business support.

Currently, Pictures to Share, a social enterprise creating illustrated books for people with dementia, is topping the health section of the SE100.

All you need to do is fill out a simple questionnaire, which includes your turnover figures.

Find out more and sign up at http://www.se100.co.uk

Thank you and regards

TPP Law

TPP Law held a lunchtime drop in session which the delegates found very informative.

Please find a link to the TPP Law health and social care section of their website, http://www.tpplaw.co.uk/Sectors/healthsocialcare/healthsocial.aspx. Users can click through the links on this page to reach case studies on PBC (including GP collectives) and social enterprise.

Lots of materials distributed at the event can be obtained from the ‘case studies’ and ‘useful info’ link including their ‘Survey on Attitudes to Social Enterprise in Health and Social Care’ and ‘Structures for Social Enterprise Guide’, which briefly details the different models, their advantages and drawbacks and general information about structures and governance. Those new to PBC or considering the Right to Request have found the booklet very helpful. The guide is free and can be ordered by emailing TPP Law directly at orders@tpplaw.co.uk, don’t forget to include your postal details.
