About NHS Networks

NHS Networks is a means of promoting and connecting the many networks which exist throughout the NHS - and encouraging the formation of new ones.  We encourage networks to use this website for communication, including discussion forums and submission of news stories.  We also have a register of networks.

NHS Networks is also developing roles in the areas of accreditation, and helping the Department of Health with consultations.

The small NHS Networks team has administrative offices in Leicester, but there are associates working around the country.

Our weekly email newsletter highlights what is new on our website, including links to key initiatives, information about individual networks, and resources within our specialist themes.  To receive a copy, please register.

NHS Networks is governed by a Board, which holds regular meetings.  We are hosted by Salford PCT.

If you are interested in how best to develop your own network, you will find useful information on our Networks Background and Support page, where we shall increasingly be including background documentation about running successful networks.

We invite you to

NHS Networks positively welcomes participation from across the NHS and its partners. We are looking for connections with  people working in and with NHS Trusts, Foundation Trusts, Ambulance Trusts, Mental Health and Care Trusts, as well as those from PCTs and Primary care already engaged by our precursors in the National Primary Care Networks, the Engaging Communities Learning Network and the now archived NatPaCT website.

And though this is an initiative that is primarily about people in the NHS talking to each other about how to deliver, we also need to be receptive to the voices and perspectives of patients, the public and the communities we serve. See our Editorial policy
