Team biographies
Edna Robinson, National Lead
Edna Robinson is currently the national lead for NHS Networks, an organisation that promotes clinical and managerial networking as an essential part of a reformed NHS. Edna is also working as an NHS Chief Executive tasked with turning around a challenged district general hospital in Trafford, Greater Manchester. She has been a successful NHS Leader holding posts across the NHS, Local Government and the Social Enterprise Sector for the past 20 years. Credited and associated with the development of Social Enterprise organisations, Edna facilitated the first NHS asset transfer to that sector ten years ago. She also holds contemporary knowledge of both commissioning and service delivery.
Jass Tatter, Web Support Officer
Jass' background is in Information Technology. He was a student at Birmingham's UCE University and also had a very desirable job at a toy-testing company before joining the NHS in 2001 as an IT Support Officer for the Modernisation Agency. This included a six-month secondment to NatPaCT in Leeds where he was the IT Support for the whole team. Jass assisted the migration of people from one IT system to another and supported the IT Manager on the MA's closure process and data retrieval. In his new role as Website Support Officer with NHS Networks he supports the website and the registered users of the site as well as looking after and maintaining the growing databases.
Felicity Cox, NHS Networks Associate
Felicity is working with NHS Networks to develop networks that support the NHS in a practical way through a time of great change. Her particular interests are commissioning and redesigning services with clinicians and patients. She is part of the NHS Confederation team working on the new pharmacy contract framework and a member of the Medicines Partnership Taskforce. Previously, Felicity was Chief Executive of Watford and Three Rivers and Dacorum PCTs. Prior to this Felicity was seconded to London Regional Office as Head of Public Affairs. She joined the NHS in 1994 as Director of Marketing and Quality at a Community and Mental Health Trust, later becoming Director of Corporate Development and then Director of Operations. Prior to joining the NHS she worked in pharmaceutical industry marketing for both prescription and over the counter product medicines. Felicity is a pharmacist and started her career working in community pharmacy. She has qualifications in marketing, public relations and an MBA, her hobbies include golf, tap dancing and amateur dramatics.
Peter Melton, Lead, PEC Chairs Network
Peter Melton is a GP in Immingham, PEC Chair for North East Lincolnshire and Chair of the national PEC Chair Network. He is a strong advocate for clinical leadership and the power of networks to support delivery. He has used this approach to deliver one of the first out-of-hours GP co-operatives, a locality commissioning pilot that became the template for PCTs, an SHA PEC chair network which managed the interface between the intermediate tier of the NHS with the local clinical community and a national PEC Chair network that relates to DH work streams. His personal leadership style has demonstrated that he is able to collate and reflect a consensus view of our current clinical leaders.He has also demonstrated that he can achieve local delivery of national targets through securing the commitment of clinical leaders.
